White bread is a classic recipe that is simple and perfect for various occasions, from sandwiches to toast. Here’s a recipe for making your white bread at home:

Ingredients:

3 cups all-purpose flour
1 package active dry yeast (2 1/4 teaspoons)
1 tablespoon sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup warm water (between 105-110°F)
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
Instructions:

Combine the flour, yeast, sugar, and salt in a large mixing bowl. Mix until well combined.

Gradually stir in the warm water and oil. Mix the dough with a wooden spoon until it comes together.

Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead for 5-10 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.

Cover the dough in a greased bowl with a clean kitchen towel. Allow the dough to rise warmly for about an hour or until it has doubled.

Preheat the oven to 375°F.

Punch down the dough and turn it out onto a floured surface. Knead it again for a few minutes.

Shape the dough into a loaf and place it in a greased bread pan.

Cover the bread pan with a clean kitchen towel and let the dough rise for another 30 minutes.

Once the dough has risen, bake the bread in the oven for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown.

Remove the bread from the oven and allow it to cool for a few minutes before removing it from the bread pan.

Serve the bread warm with butter, or let it cool completely before slicing.
