Homemade Pizza

Homemade pizza is a delicious and fun way to enjoy a favorite dish without going out or ordering in. Here's a basic recipe for homemade pizza that you can customize to your liking:

 

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups of warm water
  • 1 package of active dry yeast
  • 1 tsp of sugar
  • 4 cups of flour
  • 1 tsp of salt
  • Olive oil
  • Pizza sauce
  • Cheese
  • Toppings of your choice (such as pepperoni, mushrooms, onions, bell peppers, etc.)

Instructions:

  1. Combine the warm water, yeast, and sugar in a large mixing bowl. Let the mixture sit for about 10 minutes or until the yeast is activated and the mixture becomes foamy.
  2. Add the flour and salt to the mixing bowl and stir until the dough comes together.
  3. Knead the dough for about 5-10 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.
  4. Cover the dough in a greased bowl with a damp cloth. Let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until it has doubled.
  5. Preheat your oven to 450°F.
  6. Roll out the dough into a desired shape and thickness. Brush the crust with olive oil to prevent it from getting soggy.
  7. Spread pizza sauce on the crust, leaving about 1 inch of space around the edges.
  8. Add your desired toppings and cheese on top of the sauce.
  9. Bake the pizza for 10-15 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  10. Remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
